Biography The Father Panic Riot Orchestra is: Tom Mucherino: vocals, djembe Jon Rowold: drums (7-pc. kit), keyboards Mark Eles: bass guitar (4 and 5-string) Sam Zombar: guitar (6 and 7-string) Chris Litwin: guitar (6 and 7-string) The Father Panic Riot Orchestra is an original five piece “metal-core” group from Southern Connecticut. They formed in February 2002. Unchanged since July 2002. Their first few shows were under the name Malachai, but was later changed when learned that there were several other bands touring with that name. The musicians of The Father Panic Riot Orchestra are from various regions of Connecticut; Danbury, Fairfield, Hamden and Bridgeport; and their ages range from 23 to 34. All of them have played in other bands prior to joining The Father Panic Riot Orchestra, including As Autumn Burns (Tom); Dread, Creation (Jon); N.M.E. (Chris); Resolution (Sam & Mark) and Pollen (Mark). The Father Panic Riot Orchestra began playing venues in 2003. Some of the bands they have played with include: Propain, Crowbar, Entombed, The Mighty Nimbus, Bury Your Dead, Full Blown Chaos, 1,000 Falling Skies, Clutch, Six Feet Under, Misery Signals, Dead Speak, Murphy’s Law, M.O.D., Burnt by the Sun, 25 Ta Life, Mortician, Broken, Drained of Life, Priapism, Summer Dying, Fall From Grace, Slumlord and Spostahurt. They have played at various local halls and festivals, as well as some larger clubs including: Webster Theater, Hartford, CT, The Chance Theater, Poughkeepsie, NY, The Red Zone, Middle Village, Queens, NY, Toad’s Place, New Haven, CT., Empress Ballroom, Danbury, CT., The Roxy, Norwalk, CT., The Corner Pocket, Milford, CT., Oddfellow’s Theater, Stratford, CT., and C.B.G.B's, N.Y.C. They have been featured on local radio stations including New Haven University radio 88.7 WNHU, Fairfield University radio 88.5 WVOF, and Western Connecticut State University Radio 91.7 WXCI. The Father Panic Riot Orchestra is currently unsigned. They recorded 10 songs at Carriage House, Stamford, CT in October 2003, and released three tracks as a demo. The musicians have all participated in the song writing and are all from varying musical backgrounds. The Band has many influences including: Dissolve, Overcast, Slayer, Sepultura, Meshuggah, Black Sabbath, Tool, Mastodon, and Opeth, to name a few. The vocals are performed and recorded without vocal effects, and are at times rhythmic, and range from a full melodic voice to raw, growling, and powerful yells. The Father Panic Riot Orchestra has a unique sound, incorporating heavy hardcore busts with aggressive metal solos and technical guitar riffs. The bass lines are variable, and shift from slow melodies to fast and heavy slap riffs. The drums are very technical, and range from jazzy style playing through grind core and death metal inspired blasts. The result of such variance is a project that the musicians are proud of. The Father Panic Riot Orchestra brings a newer sound to the music scene that breaks the barriers of ‘verse-chorus-verse standard, to something different. The band is available for local shows, and are willing to travel . We are currently looking for a record label, and welcoming label and booking inquiries at the contacts listed in the press kit heading. Their sound works well with a variety of different musical genres, but they fit the bill best with other heavy bands, metal, hardcore, or otherwise. Visit our website at www.fatherpanicmusic.com
