False Image are a 5 piece melodic punk band from Bolton, England. Influenced from emo to metal the band combine a creative mix of virtuous vocals, intertwining guitar melodies, catchy bass lines, and skilful drumming to produce a unique sound and style.

False Image was formed in the summer of 2003 as a trio with Si ,Lee and Dan .Their first performance was at the Weavers Arms in Bolton . After many gigs and months later Danny Booth joined the band on vocals. In February 2004 they recorded a 4 track demo which sold many copies. In June, Dan on vocals left the band as he was moving down South .Gary Talbot joined and took over the singing. He brought new ideas and experience, Phil came in to replace Lee on bass giving more eagerness to the band. In January 2005 False Image released a 5 track EP titled 'Interfusion'. Copies of this was placed in the Bolton Music Store 'X-Records'. On the 30th January False Image played in one of their biggest gigs, as they along with 25 other bands performed in the 2 day 'Sound Support' charity event at the Howrich Leisure Centre. All the money raised went to the 'Tsunami Disaster Appeal.' In February, David Galway joined F.I on guitar. This created a more full sound to our music and was the missing link in the band which was now complete.
