When one walks down the stairs into the Falling Into Nothing practice room, they are struck with a sense of power, agression, passion, and love. The contribution of each member to the band is associated with the above emotions. On stage you can find these kids tearing up the floor boards and ripping out the nails only to leave the stage drenched with emotion.
Falling Into Nothing consists of five band members from Regina Saskatchewan: Shaye Ruecker 17 (lead singer), Dan Cooney 15 (bassist), Nicholas Yamniuk 17 (lead guitar), Ryan Mowbray 21 (rhythm guitar/backup vocals), and Andre Dey 19 (Drummer). Falling Into Nothing first formed in September of 2004 when Dan and Nicholas were looking for a drummer after a previous band breakup. Andre contacted the two hopefuls in what would be a great success down the road. The trio began writing their first songs but were in desperate need of a singer so they could focus on their instruments. Shaye was then contacted and asked to join the band but unfortunately after work got in the way for him, he left the band after a few practices. Ryan would be the one to replace Shaye in late October of 2004. The band after some quickly thrown together practices were able to land their first gig at Regina's Old Fellows Temple on November 26th releasing 6 songs. The bands popularity would grow as they invested in merchandise, a website, equipment, etc...
In February of 2005 the band decided to look into their first album to be recorded and mixed by Alex Arsenault. While the band was on the waiting list to be recorded they took a break in February and Shaye was asked to re-join the band. Shaye took the offer and began learning the bands new songs to record the four song E.P that was later released in July of the same year. Falling Into Nothing has been going strong since and with every new song you can hear the progress in technicality and musicianship. Falling Into Nothing's influences come from bands such as: Thursday, Misery Signals, Senses Fail, Saosin, Taking back Sunday and Hopes Fall. This is Falling Into Nothing, and they are AGRICORE!
