Together 'FAKE REALITY' has aimed to create a unique style with broad appeal, yet with musical and emotional resonance. Our main focus is on original compositions, with a little rock from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's to complement our sound. Lyn Plant and Jim Rickers have played together since the late sixties. In the late seventies, Neena Plant joined. Adrian England signed on in 1990. Jerry Moore joined us in 1995, and though he relocated to Kansas City in 1996, and later to St. Louis, we continue to collaborate long distance, via mail, UPS, and the internet. We all share in musical composition. The rest, as they say, will be history.
Fake Reality is modern rock, a blend of the personalities of five dynamic individuals. We've self-produced 2 CD's, 'Now Playing' followed up by 'Build Up to the Big One'. Our third CD, 'This is the One We Told You About' is in final mix, scheduled for late summer or early fall 2000 release.
You can Fake your Reality, and Reality may be Fake. So 'Fake Reality' seemed to be a perfect description of us, since we're not always all together in one place at any given time. When we're in one room, watch out while the musical sparks fly!
Neena Plant provides female lead vocals to rival some of the great male lead vocals of the rock era. Lyn Plant and Jim Rickers switch off on lead and rhythm guitar - no 3 chord progressions here, this is unparallelled progressive guitar rock. With Adrian England's keyboard prowess, and Jerry Moore's bass and drums laid down by Lyn Plant providing backbone, we have an exciting, unique sound.
