Their music is a combination of old and new. Low tuned and low slung guitars mixed with a lot of searing leads and melody. The vocals harken back to a time before growling became the norm. Factory Air started in April 2005 when bass player, Billy Wade returned safe from Iraq, looking for a band to play some music with. Billy has an extensive background in The Navy Jazz Band where he both performed and ran sound while stationed in New Orleans. He then hooked up with local musicians, Dennis Hayes, Brad Dye and Greg Parrack. Starting out with cover songs from their favorite era, the 80’s, they decided it was good enough to persue. One ad in the paper later and the lineup was complete when Lynchburg singer, Bill Harrington arrived. The band has been recording at Greg Parrack’s home studio and are ready to begin taking their show on the road.
