FULC were formed by founder Rik in September 1998 with 2 of his associates. Kook joined later, in October of the same year. It wasn't until 2000, when Kris and Duane both joined the band. Up untill Duane's arrival, FULc musical focus was hazy, but that was soon to change. The fires rehearsal as FULC are now,Saw the mosh-pit classic DOLLY and mellow anthem DRAWN OUT brought to life, and from that point forward there was no looking back. FULC had evolved, and began the journey which led to KERRANG! labelling them 'The Most vibrant and inventive band in the UK today!'

2001 saw FULC writing and rehearsing for there forst demo VOID, as well as enter the county based competition - The Licolnshire Rock Open, Competing against over 90 bands, FULC stormed through to the final and took the cup. Subsequently the band teamed up with Stunted Management.

2002 Saw FULC make their first steps out of Scunthorpe, they relocated to Leeds, as well undertake some 90 gigs throughout the year. They recieved national exposure throgh KERRANG! as well as hired the press expertise of Ian Cheek. This was down to the strength of their debut national EP,THE FALLEN.
