Since January 2001, Extra Medium has gained prominence as one of the hardest working bands in and around Charlotte, North Carolina. Having played over 70 shows, both headlining and with other well publicized bands, Extra Medium is a band that is destined to reach the top. The four members are passionate about playing music and entertaining people. “I love making music. Nothing brings me joy like playing in front of a live audience. Extra Medium consists of Aaron Goodman (guitar/vocals), Jon Bashaw (guitar), David Bass (bass), and Dustin Reedy (drums). Each person brings in different musical tastes and experience as a musician to blend together as their own brand of Hard Rock music. Extra Medium’s style of music can't be described with any word other than ROCK. Extra Medium draws inspiration from different areas like heavy metal, hard rock, alternative, blues, jazz, and the good old acoustic ballad. Simply said, they play a wide spectrum of modern rock music, but they lean more on the heavy side.

Extra Medium’s songs are primarily about the real life experiences of front man Aaron Goodman. The lyrics are deep and emotional, yet written in a style that can be easily understood by anyone. Each song has a story behind it, which is supported by the music. Thick guitar riffs, solid bass lines, and driving drumbeats compliment the strong vocal melodies to form songs that are profound and memorable.
