Expiate was formed in the summer of 2002 and consists of three core members of the group and various bass players. Our major influences are Tool, Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd and Led Zeplin. Formed out of Bowling Green Ohio, the three came together to form a sound that was like no other. The music is dark and heavy at times, but will take drastic turns to express all forms of music. Everybody can play heavy music, but not to many bands have lead singers that can sing well over it. Each band member comes from a long history and background in music which has in time only tightend the bands sound. Our philosophy on life is to enjoy every fuckin second of it.

Expiate is David Sampen (lead guitar,vocals,bass,synth), Seann Flynn (drums and percussion), Will Fleming (lead vocals and guitar)and Eric Smith (bass).

Expiate has been around the scene for several years although with members choosing to finish college first, touring has not been a priority. They will explode onto the music scene this summer promoting their new self titled album 'Expiate.' Tour cities include Detroit MI, Ann Arbor MI, Toledo OH, Bowling Green OH, Findlay OH, Columbus OH, Cincinatti OH, Cleveland OH, Dayton OH, Athens OH, Lexington KY, Louisville KY, Nashville TN, and Memphis TN,.
