Ethix got together in the summer of 2000. Five guys committed to wringing every ounce of energy possible out of their instruments. Metal, funk, soul, and just pure rock combine to create the sound once described as 'controlled chaos'. The guys have grown from a fun backyard band to one of the most respected acts in the Maryland, Virginia, DC, and East Coast regions.

Ethix consists of Wes Grant and Kyle Farley on guitar, Bruce Baisch on vocals, Matt Hughes on drums, and founding member Tim Pryor on bass. All members are formally and informally trained.

In 2001 Ethix made a major breakthrough by breaking into the semi-finals of one of the largest battle of the bands on the East Coast. From there they started receiving the respect and support of other major acts in the region.
