It started early 2005, when Marcus Miller ( drums) , and Josh Zamarripa (guitar) decided to start a new band. They searched around for a singer but didnt have much luck. Josh had convinced his good friend Matt Bryan to play bass. Matt had always talked about how he wanted to be a lead singer for a band, but it wasn't thought of much since he was already on bass. Together they started the band 'Start Something New.' Within only a month or so after the band had been formed, Matt was moved up from bassist to lead singer, as he had wanted to do. This left the band with one problem, no bass guitar player. Josh and Marcus talked to an old friend of theirs named Mark Evans, who had played bass with them about a year ago in a band called 'Still Color.' Mark agreed to play bass for the band, and asked if we had a rhythm guitarist and we said no. Mark recommended a friend of his named Jeff Laser. At the time Josh didnt think a second guitarist was necessary, but he decided to go ahead and give it a try. After getting everybody together it was without a doubt that the new lineup was one to stay. Within only a few weeks the band changed their name to Esoteric Eternity, meaning an eternity only known by a selected few. We are very hard working and dedicated, and we try our best to show that through our music.
