Entropy
Band Biography

  • From: Denver, CO
  • No. of Members: 4
  • Year Established: 2004

Based out of Denver, Colorado, Entropy was founded when, lead singer, Aaron Gallegos, chose to follow a childhood dream. Having very little experience, Aaron found himself in a casual conversation with friend, Tony Shortino (guitar) who also had a very similar dream. The two were now in search for additional members. After playing with the duo only once, Joel Brown (drums), was a perfect addition. Shortly thereafter, the trio had their first live performance, yet something was still a miss. Joel had an acquaintance fill in bass for the evening, Matt Weigel. Matty felt the chemistry and was compelled to fill the position permanently. Fate, as it may seem, brought the four members together, and, in August of 2004, Entropy was born.

Having started as a cover band, Entropy quickly ventured into writing original music. After being together for just over one month, Entropy had already put together 30 covers and performed their first gig at LoDo's Bar and Grill in downtown Denver. It wasn't long before Entropy took things to the next level by moving out of the basement and into the recording studio.

While releasing their debut album, Method of Entropical Madness, Entropy found themselves headlining the Hard Rock Cafe Denver wuth naional act Love 45. Dedicating track four, 'Ground Zero,' to the brave soldiers of the U.S. Armed Forces, Entropy has sent over one thousand copies to U.S. Military bases around the globe.

It wasn't long before Entropy was being featured on websites such as CD Fuse, Rock on Colorado, Garage Band, and available to purchase worldwide on Napster and iTunes. Entropy has since been heard on Clear Channel's 93.3 KTCL with their debut single 'Take One For The Team.' Their rapid success led them to Phoenix, Arizona where they partnered with JuSpan Productions and Filming Arizona to film their first music video for their hit single. With plans for their second album in store, Entropy will be hitting the road Summer of 2006 to broaden their horizons.
