Endemic
Band Biography

  • From: Las Vegas, NV
  • No. of Members: 4
  • Year Established: 2002

Tragically enough, local bands can use the shroud of mediocrity to distract from the fact that they have little to no talent. But one band is doing all in their power to rebel against this sad fact that plagues so many music communities. Local Las Vegas quartet Endemic forms the chaotic center of this glimmering valley’s scene. With crowd pleasing songs that never compromise musical prowess, the band’s passionate focus has only fueled their quick evolution from simply a band to a group of seasoned performers.

Endemic isn’t a band that hides in the shadows. When given the opportunity to compete against 144 acts from across the Southwestern US, the band seized the opportunity with stunning results. Taking second place at the Worldfolk Fourth Annual Battle of the Bands, Endemic began to develop a reputation among fans and music lovers alike as a band that mixes harmony with driving rock music.

From the bass stylings of Brian Karr, to the guitar prowess of Justin Smith, the band’s talent in their own musical realms constitutes a whole that is stunningly original and pleasingly textured. CJ Johnson’s drumming provides the backbone for the group, offering up complicated drum beats and an amazing on stage presence. And finally, Josh Hainsworth’s vocals top off an already talented group of musicians.

Endemic will soon find themselves with the ranks of modern rockers Incubus and Hoobastank should their musical progression continue at the pace it is. With new songs added to the lineup constantly, it’s blaringly obvious that this band has the drive and passion necessary to compete adequately and redefine what Las Vegas local music is all about.
