An original thrash metal band created in 1992 and still going strong. The brutal attack during our live onslaught is comparable to a skull crushing impact. Be prepared to feel what we feel......reach out your hand, open your mind and be escorted through Elysion Fields.
Elysion Fields was created in 1992. The original thrash metal band took shape at the hands of Craig Hickle and Paul Stuckey. Craig picked up the bass guitar and assumed vocal duties while Paul held down the drums. They set out to establish a solid-sounding band, surging with creativity; one that would not settle nor compromise its originality. In the beginning, Duane Shank and Kile Ulmer manned the guitars. Kile left the band in the spring of 1994 just before recording their first demo Murder 1. So, Duane played double duty with the lead and rhythm guitar on tape. Highspeed dubbed and mass-produced, this first effort spread like wildfire among the underage, underground metal scene in Lancaster County. From this underground scene came Tim Smith. He knew of Elysion Fields through his bootlegged copy of Murder 1. In 1994, because of his signature technical style of guitar, he was added to the ranks. Elysion Fields then chose world-renowned Clair Brothers Studios in Lititz to record their second demo R.I.P 1992-1995. With the dualing guitars of Duane and Tim EF was a household name in the local fire halls and 'Battle of the Bands.'In 1996, the band was faced with change when high school ended. In the summer, Tim parted ways with Elysion Fields. Though college-bound, EF vowed to continue writing and performing on their off time. Kile returned in 1998 while Duane, after six years decided to leave. Concentrating on writing new material and graduating, Elysion Fields pushed on.In 2000, band members graduated from their respective schools. One year later, Craig, Paul and Kile went to Cape Sound Studios and recorded their third EP entitled Plan for Pain Control. This new EP along with their first press kit, hit the central PA scene full force. In the fall of 2003, Elysion Fields was ready to enter the studio to record their first full-length album. Kile, for the second time, left the band before the sessions could begin. Close friend, Jason Bullet entered the lineup, keeping EF on track. In the beginning of 2004, they laid down a new EP in Progressive Sound Studios. The recording was entitled Life Long.
Joe Bressler enters EF as a permanent member in the winter of 2004. Craig, Paul and now Joe are writing new material for a long awaited full-length album destined for the summer of 2005.
'Like a hammer of fire, they're coming to lay waste to any and everywhere they can. Dropping all jaws and destroying all doubts along the way,Elysion Fields is on a collision course with you!'
