The Cosmic Sweat Society is the most recent collaboration led by frontman/guitar wizard Elliott Cohn. He has put together a great lineup of players based out of New Orleans where they have been blowing up local venues with a powerful in your face energy playing a unique style of funk-n-roll.

The full time touring lineup consists of Elliott Cohn leading with heartfelt vocals and powerful guitar work. Kenny Green joins in with his slaphappy style on the bass. Adam Matasar brings a whole different level to the music with his stylings on the keys. While Colin Davis throws down the funky heartbeat on the drums.

Other CSS members include Jeff Watkins( alto sax-James Brown Band), Willie Green(percussion-The Neville Brothers), Big Sammie Williams(trombone, Big Sams Funky Nation, DDBB). These players may or may not be at any given show, depending upon availability.

CSS have been receiving praise from some of New Orleans greats. With various sit-ins and opening gigs ranging from Papa Grows Funk, Mofro, Galactic, P.B.S, G-Love and Special Sauce, and random superjams at the Maple Leaf. Now in 2005, it's time to take it to the road with gigs booked in Tennessee, Florida, New York, Vermont, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and West Virginia to start things off. The Cosmic Sweat Society must be seen to grasp an understanding of their name.
