Eklektraphonik is a hip-hop based group currently located in Phoenix, Arizona. The group is composed of four MCs, Tre Deezy, Bear the Astronot, Snayke Plysk, and Tha Byrd, who though from very different backgrounds and influences, are almost welded together by their love of music. Bear the Astronot and DJ D’Anthony produce, play, mix, and advise on the majority of the tracks, but all the members dabble in production. Since no hip-hop alliance is complete with out Turntabilists EKP leaves the samples, noises, and scratching to the always entertaining veteran mix-master and Chicago native “the House Junky” DJ D’Anthony. Bear, Tre, and Snayke are certified engineers with diplomas from “The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences” which has allowed them to produce, track, and mix nearly every song on which they appear. The members of Eklektraphonik are on a constant journey, integrating different synthesizers, drum machines, instruments, combinations of sound, vocal and mic techniques to create a truly diverse and unique audio environment. This self-invented genre feeds off of many different influences, but is still at home and interesting to the Hip-Hop ear. Eklektraphonik by definition portrays an eclectic manner of teaching the value of sound, syllables, and words. Simply put…Eclectic Sound.

EKP nourishes a vision of change and revolution, capturing a listening audience by avoiding the monotony inherent in the majority of popular music today. Most of Eklektraphonik’s songs are written with a theme and tend to accentuate emotions rather than the artist. This is done intentionally to reach out and communicate with the listener, and possibly help them by expressing viewpoints and experiences that they can relate to. They utilize humor, rage, politics, and everyday events. With their music, they hope to take their listeners on an all-encompassing ride through life, sound, and the realities of today.

The members of Eklektraphonik are part owners of Khaotik Entertainment and Studio 11, where they produce and record their music. Their first release [DEFINITION] opens the door to multiple solo and instrumental projects. They have performed at multiple venues all over the southwest, opened for world-renowned hip-hop artists, and built a large and diverse following via the web. Eklektraphonik strives to dodge the corporate whoas of commercial music, but still reach a mass audience.
