Drawback is a jumping and singing punk trio machine from the heart of the Rose City, Portland Oregon. Founded in 2004, Drawback, starring Travis Shoemake, Zack Barrer, and Matt Stares, joined forces to write high-octane music to rock the ass of society completly off.
With a strong sense of musical morality, Drawback arrived on the rock scene with DIY integrity and a straight up nasty work ethic, practicing, writing songs, and playing as many shows possible, drinking up all the alcohol and slapping all the asses. Freqenting such venues as the Roseland, Hawethorne theatre, Ash Street Saloon, The Tonic, and buttload of others, Drawback is no stranger to performaning, nor in the ways of the studio, recording several EP's such as 'The Things We Enjoy,' EP and 'The Straight up Nasty EP' EP, yielding such massive hits as the old crowd favorite 'The Unjust Use of Soceity,' the massive pop ballade, 'Take What You Want,' the subtley infectious 'Robot,''and the moribidly upbeat melodies of 'Melisma.'
2005 gave way to massive improvements and continued success in the industry for Drawback, resulting in an extensive tour through California, and an integration into an underground network of alternative communication whithin the scene. T-shirts, stickers, CD's, hand-jobs, nothing is sacred to this pop/punk trio of sexual devients who maintain a evergrowing loyale fan base whithin a society that defies and spurns its very exisitence.
Destroying shows alongside with old time faithfulls, Wheelchair Renegades, Goodyear, and viable musical boquete of others, Drawback vows to swoop down from the clouds and pleasure the masses w/their three part harmony, quite possibly outrock everybody. Alongside with partners and promoters Drawback contiunes to spread the legs of the rock scene leaving its musical load in the vagina of the musical industry. Plus, they're easy to market because they are good looking and great in bed.
