Born of Hate and Blood Ridden Blasphemy, Created to serve unwitting desires. They rot within the Pool, of compulsive mediocrity. (When Angels Fall)
And there, simply put, is the world of DorEterna Formed in 2002, by Portuguese Metal Veterans LordStormblast (Guitars) & Father Almeida (Percussion) (DorEterna means Pain Eternal in Portuguese) as an antidote to the mire that the UK underground scene currently finds itself in, DorEterna’s Mission is simple: to bring exquisite pain to those who wish to be aurally beaten into submission, but find most so called ‘Extreme’ Acts merely tickle with Feathers.
The Band is completed by British Guitar/Frontman Akatechon and the thundering Bass Histrionics of Zimbabwean, Klunk.
DorEterna’s Music Sits them at the junction point of all that is best of 2005’s crop of Musical evolution, taking the Pure Necrologistics of Black Metal, Mixing in the Old School Melodics and Twin Guitar Attack of the ‘Gothenburg’ sound, although this comparison may be made more on the basis of a common set of original influences. Finishing this is the factor that sets DorEterna apart from all their contempories, a vast range of musical background, some far removed from Metal, others not even Musical at all, that lend the Band a Sound that, in time, will come to define a New Genre, not neatly slot into an existing one. The Bands Debut Release, Provenience, is the proof of such claims.A Powerhouse of energy from beginning to end, the Album follows a singular narrative, but avoids slipping into the clichés of a Conceptual Album, ensuring that each tracks stands on it’s own merits and could be played alone without confusion. The Sound of the Album is designed to envelope the listener and carries them along for the ride, rich in atmosphere and pure power…leaving the subject slightly exhausted but filled with a sense of purpose and invigoration… The Band are very keen to separate what they are live and what they are Recorded, the two after all, are fundamentally different…Having cut their teeth in the best underground venues the UK has to offer, ensuring that only the finest and most competitive of British Cutting Edge Metal bands play with them, the band are primed and ready to resume Conquest and plan a European tour for 2005-01-05 Welcome to the Lair of Pain and Sorrow…You’ll be glad you came.
