Dinosaur Construction Unit (DCU) formed originally as The Moldy Figs in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1997. The band started as a punk band, yet has evolved now to include jazz, jam-rock, bluegrass, fusion, experimental, alt rock and progressive rock. The band has two CDs out under the old name (Moldy Figs) and one under the new one. Two new CDs are in the works currently (winter 2001).

DCU consists of Andy on guitar, The Dragonfly on fretted and fretless bass and Rod the Pipe Man on drums. DCU can perform total improv sets that last forever or tight rapid fire alt rock and pop. Think of the DCU sound as King Crimson meets Sonic Youth meets Phish. These three are seasoned veteran musicians totally uncompromising in originality (though it's fun to throw in an obscure cover tune every once in a while).
