Dillusions of Grandeur formed in May of 2002 when Chris, Eric, Jason Ross, and Kenny Gass started playing and writing together at Chris' home in Anderson, SC. After spending the summer tweaking their sound, they played their first show August 10, 2002 at a small bar in Spartanburg, SC. In November, after parting ways with their first lead guitar player, Jason Ross, Chris, Kenny and Eric added Scott to the Dillusions roster. The newly formed incarnation played three more shows then replaced Kenny with Stephen in January 2003. In December of 2003, Dillusions added Chris McConnell to play both lead and rhythm guitar parts. Throughout 2003, Dillusions of Grandeur played a total of 24 shows. The following Dillusions went on a touring binge doubling the previous year's appearances and the number will keep growing throughout the life of Dillusions of Grandeur. Eric left the band in August of 2004 and was replaced by current bassist Barry Speer in November of 2004. Now through all the ups and downs over the years we have found the five guys who have the best sound and dedication you could ask for with the music. They are now offically DILLUSIONS OF GRANDEUR.
