Dev Namo is a 5 piece ensemble that is the result of the combination of members from The Akasa Concept, Blue Grooves, and Mah Jones. Based in Columbia Missouri, the group travels around the mid-mid-west and is hoping to expand into a greater circuit by the end of the year. Our focus is on tight grooves, free form improvisation and dynamic changes.

Dev Namo consists of Jeff Mueller on bass/guitar/keys/vocals, Eddie Watson on trumpet, Steve Mabbitt on drums, Brian Bennett on guitar/bass/keys, and Pat O'Driscoll on guitar and vocals.

Recently Dev Namo lost a founding member, saxophonist Eli Gay. Since his departure in June of 2002 to make a home in Kansas City, MO, we have discovered more space and freedom within the sound, as well as new responsibilities that he once shouldered. We have done no searching to replace Eli, as he is irreplaceable.
