Despondent are a 3 piece speedy fast punk band with tight rhythms, catchy choruses, and loads of interesting bits through all their songs.Despondent spawned through the creative songwriting of Reuben, his solid musical partnership with Bass Virtuoso Luke and Nik's Collossal Rhythms.

The music is always written to support the political & socialogical edged lyrics so they have maximum impact.Despondent developed their sound so every song had its own character, but worked hard to maintain a distinctive character throughout.They finished recording their first album in September 2004, and are currently busy promoting and producing it.
