David Goodman is an introspective experimentalist with an ear for the edge of pop. His ethereal vocals combine with his unique psychedelic guitar and edgy sound-scape accompaniment create a singularly psychedelic listening experience. His albums are best when listened to in the dark while sitting on a sofa with a cocktail and at least three very quiet friends.
David Goodman plays all of the instruments on his works, with the exception of occasional guest musicians. He started out as a piano player, moved on to the guitar and now has also added bass, the organ, harmonica and a keen proficiency with a Macintosh and Pro-Tools.
His first professional release 'Space Age' came out in October 2002, in stark contrast to his home-made CDr albums of years previous. This scintillating wall of sound moves breathlessly through a variety of genres, all interpreted through the psychedelic sunglasses of their creator. The second half of the album culminates in the 6-track epic 'The Far Side of the Sun,' a soundtrack to space.
