Daniel Bennett is a Boston-based saxophonist and composer at the New England Conservatory. Daniel Bennett and pianist Mike Dale recently completed a tour of concerts and educational clinics in upstate New York. Bennett's latest CD is 'We Are Not Defeated' (Tri-Head Productions). Daniel Bennett's mission in the last year has been to create what he calls 'honest music' or songs without pretentions or fronts. While at the New England Conservatory, Bennett had the chance to perform with Bob Moses, Bob Brookmeyer, Steve Lacy, and other forward-thinking musicians. Daniel Bennett also studied saxophone privately with Jerry Bergonzi, Ken Radnofsky, and George Garzone. The Daniel Bennett Band has performed jazz and new music in concert halls, art galleries, and clubs throughout much of the Northeast.
