The forming of Dose began in early 2000 in the bluegrass of Lexington, KY. From there, Dose relocated to Murfreesboro, TN in August 2001. We are not a jamband. We are not a straight ahead rock band. We are unique in that we take elements from rock and incorporate it into a new form of raw jam. An accurate description that we were given was by a man who had just seen us for the first time in Winston-Salem, NC. He said, ' You guys have got the precision of Rush, the harmonies and melodies of the Allman Brothers, and the groove of Zeppelin.' We do improvise, but our intent is to keep the energy in your face 100% of the time. The band also takes pride in that all of this has been accomplished, with every member under 20 years old!!

The year 2002 has brought along many jumps for Dose. We are now touring, hitting every major city in the southeastern United States, selling out such venues as the Kentucky Theatre (Lexington) and Wall Street (Murfreesboro,TN). Come check us out if we're in your town!!
