With four diverse musical styles (jazz, rock, blues and reggae) combined, throw in a tiny woman with a powerful voice, you get Coventry Road. Ed and Virginia Kamenitzer took their songs and sought out to form a band. Michael Possumato, drummer and fellow art student to Virginia, put together the first jam session. Along with Mike came former band mate Len Fliegel (both of the hardcore band Decoy). In search of a bassist Mike sought out former band mate Oliver Baptiste (who played together in Stanleybirch). Upon the arrival of Baptiste's reggae inspired funk, the five became a band, Coventry Road. Playing for an energetic following in the NJ/NY area, Coventry Road continues to write and explore with new music.
