The Colin John Band plays, as London's Mojo Magazine described them,'Ferociously entertaining funked-up RnB'.The band tours internationally to hordes of blues, jam, soul, funk and rock fans and loves the interaction and synergistic energy exchanged between them and the audience. They play a wide variety of music, that is firmly rooted in the blues but with the excitement and energy of rock, the improvisational and free-wheeling spirit of jam bands and the grit of soul and funk.
The Colin John Band is Colin John on guitars and vox, Scott Turner on drums and percussion, Harlem Pinata on bass and Bob Corlett on organ and piano. Each member has a vast and varied musical background including blues, soul, funk, RnB, jazz and rock.
