Born Clyde Anthony Durane Simmons, Clyde is an 18 year old singer, songwriter and producer, born in Chicago,IL. Currently residing in Sacramento,Clyde is an inspiring young R&B artist working hard to make his life long dream to be a professional entertainer a reality.Clyde has been honing his skills as a vocalist for the past ten years.Clyde has kept himself busy in local talent shows and community events. Just recently,Clyde performed at the Sacramento Convention Center for the Dr. Martin Luther King celebration hosted by the committee for Dr. Martin Luther King.Clyde has performed at several community events organized by teens reaching out youth organization that focuses on educating youth on financial stability. Clyde has won second place in the Battlegrounds Talent Showcase in Sacramento and also won the Who Are You Anyway Talentshowcase which took place in Sacramento and aired on local access channel 17 on December 25 2004 and January 1 2005.
Clyde is currently writing and producing his own music and has produced his first demo. Clyde has been featured on the album of the female gospel rapper from Sacramento known as ' Agape'. Clyde is creating a fan base for himself in Sacramento by performing at graduations, talent shows and communtiy events. With his management company 928 Management, Clyde is ps preparing to go on a mini tour of the local venues in Northern California. Through these performances Clyde will establish his presence as an R&B artist in Norhtern California. Since the age of seven Clyde and his family knew he was a performer. After bringing down the house at an elementary school talent show, everyone knew Clyde was destined for greatness.
As Clyde grew so did his aspirations, as a budding artist Clyde was inspired by the show of class and stage presence of such performers as Luther Vandross and Usher.Inspired by one of his favorite singing groups, Boys II Men Clyde formed a group with two of his classmates called TYP; Clyde wrote the songs and started producing, modeling his style after his favorite producers Timbaland and Pharrell. Although the group was short lived Clyde learned a great deal from his experience and has moved on as a solo artist. As his career flourishes. Clyde plans to network with his peers writing producing and performing with those who have inspired his desire to become an entertainer.
