Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1982, Claire McDonnell is a performer to watch out for. She lists the likes of Sheryl Crow, Nick Cave, Norah Jones, Tom Waits, Mary J Blige as her influences! Her first television appearance was on 'Echo Island' in 1998, when Claire sang and played guitar on the show.
n January 2004, Claire went to Belgium to record three songs with DJ/producer, Joachim DeMunck. These recordings are being worked on, with a view to being released in the future.Claire sang in 'Inside I‚m Dancing' a movie, which arrived in cinemas in November 2004.She has made many appearances on TV in 2004, appearing on shows such as 'Last One Standing', 'Fame Game On The Run', 'Craiccean An Sceal/The Land of Sex and Sinners', and many times as an extra on 'Fair City' as well as the controversial show 'The Big Bow Wow'. In 2004, Claire started to do some modelling part time, which she really enjoys (Some of the photos that have been taken of Claire can be seen on the photo page on this site)Claire has also made some appearences in press in Ireland, such as 'The Irish Times' and 'The Tallaght Echo' in the last year. Wanting a change of scenery, Claire moved to the South of Germany in May 2005. She spent the Summer writing as much as possible and now spends her time between Germany and Ireland. In April, this year, Claire was featured on the new FM104 show, 'Open Mic', where 'First Hate' recieved it´s first radio airplay to the public in Dublin, Ireland.
In May, Claire travelled to Co. Cork, Ireland to record with the renowned Irish songwriter and producer, Andy Reynolds. Sinéad Heffernan, a talented bódhrán player who plays live with Claire in Germany alot also on the tracks.
