Chuck Stevens is an exceptional young guitar player who has been working professionally in the New York area since 1998. He has performed with musicians such as Peter Bernstein, Dave Stryker, Art Davis, Ralph Peterson, Vic Juris, and Tony Reedus. In November '03 he appeared at the Steve Getz Music Hall in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in a three-guitar plus rhythm section concert series with fellow guitarists Vic Juris and Dave Stryker. As many have noticed, Chuck's maturity and technical capabilities as a musician and a guitarist reach far beyond his years, which is evident in the audio samples. In addition to being an accomplished guitarist, he has also been involved as a composer and arranger with his own trios and quartets. Six of the audio samples showcase Chuck's compositional style. His compositional and stylistic influences include Wayne Shorter, Lennie Tristano, John Abercrombie, Pat Martino, and a host of other modern and older players.
