Chronicles of a Hero formerly began in the late summer of 1999 as Dawn of Mundane, a rock quartet group out of Long Island, New York. Blending rock styles from soft to blistering, original members John Welker (guitar), Paul Accardi(bass), Adam Samet(drums), and John Gabriel(guitar) created a buzz in the New York City scene by playing N.Y.C's premiere rock clubs such as the famous CBGB's, The Limelight and The Elbow Room. The band has also extended it's shows to their Long Island hometown at places such as the historic Dublin Pub and Rembrandts. After the trials of separating with their management, record label let-down's and even while losing guitarist John Gabriel, the band remains focused on creating music that is exciting to their fans and true to themselves. Within an industry full of pop groups being hand fed material, Chronicles of a Hero is a testament to the belief that rock music should be of the band's own design and based upon their love of creating music.
