Chronic came together a few years ago and although its members at the time were complete strangers, the band formed within a day. Bassist/backup vocalist Hunter Gardener was probably responsible for the creation of 'Chronic' during a less than productive and rather embarrassing 'jam session', after which he insisted we give it a shot. Since then Mike Fries,(drummer) and Lyden Nee (guitarist and lead vocals) grew as a band and practiced day in and day out. A year or so later we began fishing for a second guitarist and after 3 or 4 potentials auditioned, a certain Nick MacDaniels immediatly filled the slot. He brought with him a variety of ideas, some backup vocals and much creative influence which completed the distinct sound and style of 'Chronic' which from there would only prosper more.

After establishing a well rounded yet diverse genre of hard rock/alternative we accumulated money enough for our current setup which is now easily professional worthy. We are at the point where we can play anything from a large club to a small coffes shop if need be. From the recording equipment we acquired, we produced a demo tape, distributing it to anyone looking for a band or just looking for some music. Since then we've been playing anywhere that had an opening at any time in their schedule.

From our collection of 21 original songs most are hard rock but include tight beats and the vocal and instrumental consonance which makes most find our music pleasing yet still very modern. We have produced a variety of songs that branch out into genres such metal rap and even on ocassion touch punk. We even include a solo acoustical piece to smooth out the mood. Our songs are driven by lyrics which reflect the good times, the bad ones, and our own personal experiences or outlooks. Our sound is made unique by crunching guitar, deep booming bass, creative and complex drum beats, emotional vocal melodies and a variety of unique instument effects which always stick in crowd's minds. We can also play a large variety of cover songs if need be but like to focus on our originals.

We're a dedicated band and always put our music first. No matter what the issue at hand if even the slightest creative musical thought comes into our minds, everything stops until its down on paper. We'll play whenever wherever and hope to persue the vocation of career musicians for the rest of our lives.
