Formed in late 2003, we are long-time musicians who were in other working bands or who were performing solo non-stop. Each of us is clear about the 'work' involved with being a 'working musician.' We began doing Cesca's music exclusively but we are beginning to write some great songs together.
We are: Cesca Waterfield on vocals and songwriting, Shon Thompson on guitars and mandolin; Judah Roydes on guitars and backing vocals, Joey Rudacil on drums; Staci Hoofnagle on bass.
RADIO: We have performed on major commercial radio stations in the Virginia Beach area.
TELEVISION: We just finished our first television feature, for the PBS series, 'The Music Seen.'
AWARDS: Cesca received an ASCAP Writer's Grant for the 2004 - 2005 year.

Current bio excerpt:
Based out of Norfolk, Virginia, five musicians cull their diverse influences to create visceral rock and roll. These story songs cover a spectrum of experiences and emotions. Each one feels like an entrance to a richly decorated and sharply conceived scene and ultimately provides much more than a few minutes of passive listening.
Audiences feel like accomplices to the spooky flight of “Islington Road,” a raw and unrepentant song that continues to stun audiences.
“Song of Nemesis” is a recipe for settling a score, one that each of us has at some time stirred vigorously.
The wit of “Dragstrip Lament” is clear even as the heartbroken lover belts out her tale of woe.
“Talladega Girl in a Mercury” breaks hearts and every law, and your white knuckles will grip the seatbelt as you race along the Gulf Coast.
As unique as the songs and music are, the band truly shines onstage. Professional musicianship, impressive presence, and years of stage experience mean their shows are high energy and inventive.
