The creation of Celtic Soul has to be one of the weirdest instances of irony! Two guys from different parts of Ireland, living only twenty minutes from each other, met more than 5,000 miles away, in a city neither of them dreamed they would end up in. Both shared the same goal. They wished to form a band that merged the tradition of Celtic music with the excitement of rock-n-roll. In the summer of 1998, in Jacksonville Florida, Nick Watson and Kevin Breslin, along with Sandy Herrault, formed Celtic Soul. Since then, the band has grown with new members and long-time friends Spade McQuade, Andy King and Jana Light. Together they have been winning over audiences in their hometown and all over the Southeast where Celtic Soul has developed a diverse crowd of followers.

Their blend of old meets new makes for one of the most exciting sounds heard in music today. From traditional, to rock, all styles can be heard in this unique gathering. The marriage of fiddles and guitars with modern keyboards, bass, and drums, forms a truly exciting sound, and the use of angelic vocals in traditional melodies creates a captivating atmosphere for the listener. From slow haunting ballads to foot-stomping reels and jigs, this band shows a talent for diversity and innovation in music.

Celtic Soul has been playing to audiences around the southeast and as far north as Pennsylvania. They play mainly at festivals and pubs.
