Carrie's been singing since she was 3 and it's always been her dream and journey to work in music whatever. She plays acoustic guitar with incredible style, strength and finesse. It's hard to put into words but her influences are Joni Mitchell and really a lot of 60's and 70's singer-songwriters. Her songs are melodic, cleverly put together and leave you with a feeling that you've been travelling with her, that you already know her. She played in berlin last year to a packed hall and they loved her and this year she's off to Nashville to promote her latest CD album KAYLA which is getting worldwide airplay. Go to her website and have a listen to the sound bytes from her album. You'll know exactly what I'm trying to say. She's not one to be easily catogorised and I'm glad!!
Carrie was born on a farm in the middle of Dorset, UK. When at last she got her own guitar there was no stopping her. And today, her music is heard worldwide. Like so many talented writers these days, she keeps the quality of her writing in front of her and the audiences. She is truely an original person is a copycat world.
On her latest CD album KAYLA she is joined by Mandy Mayhew on backing vocals and the seriously talented Julz Parker and her band Project Winterhaven from Australia. Carrie and Julz met at Girls with Guitars (UK)and are now planning their next recording fix in October 2005.Carrie and Mandy are in Nashville July 25th - Aug 7th to promote the new album. Gigs include Americana Tonight which is being recorded for radio in the USA.
