North Carolina's own Captain Cook and The Coconutz were established in 1986 in Charlotte, NC and work almost 50 weekends a year performing at festivals, clubs, and outside shows entertaining audiences with their original music and high energy covers that feature many of Jimmy Buffet's greatest tunes.

The Coconutz members are Ron Cook, lead vocals and guitar, Steve Horrell lead guitars and vocals, Rick Lawson keyboards and vocals, Barry Dockery drums and vocals, Mike Hanson percussion and vocals, and Wayne Phelps bass guitar and supporting vocals.
