Remember his name…CAUSION, recall his sound…TIMELESS, and receive his vibe…CONSCIOUSNESS. Reggae music has already opened its arms to return his embrace.

“ AS THE SONG GO’S WHEN WELL WE STOP FIGHTING EACH OTHER DOWN.” Charged with intense emotions and deep social consciousness, his messages are an appealing blend of reggae, soul and pop music that are as ageless as time. Born Gregory Colin Bailey in the beautiful twin-island nation of Antigua & Barbuda, CAUSION knew from an early age that he wanted to be a professional singer/songwriter and musician. He grew up in a family, where many members are established musicians, and he did not have to search far for either support or inspiration. So the story begins. CAUSION first enjoyed success in 1988 with the single African Girl, featuring a British DJ named Spider Don. It reached the top of the Caribbean charts and gained him a considerable following. From 1990- 94 he record four singles, Different World, All About Love, Crossroads and All Night Long. All of which received heavy rotation on the Caribbean airwaves. His 1995 cover of Breaking up, an Alton Ellis original, featuring Miss Linda of (Worl-A Girl), made Brixton the Hitman’s WKUSF 92.3FM Top 10 chart that summer in California. His 1996 cover of Groove Theory’s Tell Me was also very well received both in the U.S and in the Caribbean.

He is currently working on several projects with the “ PEN” Hopeton Lindo and Syl Gordon, world-renowned engineer and CEO of both Cylton Records and the 321 Strong record label. His first single on this label, entitled. Intimidation was released in the spring of 1997 “ Reggae vibes review Board which services Germany, Netherlands and Belgium give it **** 4 STARS”. In it CAUSION displays his natural ability to turn the obscure into the obvious. Consider him a musical archer— lyrics powerful straightforward and on point.TIME WILL TELL the CD, was released April 21st 1998 is the impressive result of Causion’s faith, hard work and perseverance. This conscious reggae album coming out of the 321 Strong Kingston Jamaican Based label contains 14 truly captivating tracks and is, in the artist’s own words, “ timeless--- something for today and tomorrow”. He has toured throughout the U.S and the West Indies with some of Reggae’s best and brightest artists like Rita Marley, Third World, Dennis Brown, Freddie McGregor and Judy Mowatt, to name a few, giving stellar performances each and every time. In 1995, he was part of the Tribute to Garnet Silk Tour to the Caribbean along with Lt. Stitchie, Merciless and Professor Nuts.

He was honored in 1995 to be the first Antiguan Reggae artist to perform at Jamaica’s Sumfest . He opened for among others, Buju Banton, Mickey Spice and Mykal Rose. The entire experience heightened CAUSION’S awareness of the magnitude of his message and his responsibility to the public. In late May 1996, on the Mega Youth Tour of the Virgin Islands, CAUSION closed for R&B acts, J’Son, Silk and Monica. That year he also opened for Worl-A-Girl in St. Thomas. He then went on to open for Born Jamericans and Worl-A-Girl again, at the Bob Marley Music Festival at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. He also appeared at several well-known club stops in the United States, including Tramps, S.O.B’s, New Music Café, Jam-Rock NY, Main Street, Outback Lodge VA. Wild Hare in Chicago.
