Buzccutt was formed in 1995 dedicated to change the music scene on the gulf coast. We came out strong and heavy playing tunes no one else would touch. Within a year we were the top band in the area, packing out every show in every venue. Soon there were a multitude of 'Buzzcutt clones' working the gigs that we created. Life was good.

Buzzcutt has had the honor of working with some of the industries top bands. Over the course of our career we have opened for Cowboy Mouth; The Tradegically Hip; Earth, Wind & Fire; Loverboy; Mo Jo Nixon; and Leon Russell. We have also lent and assisted technically, with gear and personel, The Melvins, Son Volt, Soul Coughing, 2 Live Crew, Sir Mix-a-lot, Digital Underground, and Drivin' and Cryin'.

Buzzcutt has gone through some lineup changes over the past 6 years but now consists of Original Memebers Steven Ferguson on Bass and Vocals, and Doug Lowell on Lead Vocal and Guitar. We are proud to have with us now James Shabarekh on Drums and Vocal, and Matt McKinney on Lead Guitar and Vocal. By far this lineup is the most powerful and passionate in our history.
