Burling Street Jazz and Swing band plays original jazz/vocal jazz and instrumental compositions from the pen hand of Mark Kubicki (AKA Mark Burling), the brain child of Burling Street Jazz and Swing Band.

Instrumentation for Burling Street Jazz and Swing Band consists of Mark Kubicki (Piano/Vocals), Shawn Graham (Acoustic String Bass), John Alesi (Percussion), Ken Sill (Tenor/Soprano Saxophones) and Rial Gallagher (Alto and Baritone Saxophones). We are musicians with trained roots in classic and orchestral music. We all met in different bands (which we still actively pursue). Fortunately, Burling Street Jazz and Swing is one of those bands.

Burling Street compositions borrow from classic jazz, smooth contemporary, blues and include some hip/modern arrangements with original lyrics and excellent musicianship to complement an event or just enjoy a pleasant evening at home.

Burling Street has one CD in our library titled 'Stop and Go'. A second one is in the works. No Studio date for that session has been set. We hope to be there this year (2002). A third project was temporarily shelved (standards project) for a later date to be determined.
