Broken 1 is a band that has bridged the genre and age gap. Very diverse in style and influences. A band with a rock edge and lyrics that will cause one to search within. Formed in 1996 under another name and different band members the band has evolved from covers to original music. A very crowd interactive live show that is fun to be a part of.

The year 2000 and 2001 brought many changes. The self-titled debut cd;the loss of 2 band members, and 3 new members joining. The band is now currently re-tooling songs and writing again with even darker guitars and more edge than the first album.

Broken 1 is singer-songwriter and guitarist John Williams on electric lead and acoustical rhythms, Chris Gardner with vocals, harmony, and percussion; Mike Scott on drums and percussions; accomplished bassist Rob Hoover; Josh Einwechter on acoustic rhythm, and Bryan Shifflet on electric rhythm. Each members have different musical backgrounds, but each have a common goal. It is to write songs that make you think about what life is really about and also to uplift and not bring people down..
