Formerly playing heavy metal music in Houston Texas, Brian moved to Austin in the late 90's and fell in love with the blues. The former lead guitarist of Austin based blues rock band Long Time Comin is now working on his own solo career. Brian performs solo acoustically and also with a full electric band.

Brian Bayer has long had a love for music. He first learned piano at the age of ten. After four years of lessons he left the piano. He then picked up the guitar in 98, at the age of 21, and made fast progress on the instrument especially after getting into the blues. Metal guitar such as Metallica, Megadeth, and Pantera drew him to the instrument at first with the rhythm stylings of James Hetfield and Dave Mustaine. Brian decided after a couple of years he needed to leave Houston, Texas so he moved to Austin for the sole reason of playing music for a living. Living in Austin he developed a deep love for the blues. He now plays his own brand of blues and rock. Brian, the former lead guitarist of Austin based southern outlaw rock band Long Time Comin, has recently began fronting his own band with new original music.

His current work includes originals and covers. He plays numerous styles of music including alternative rock, metal, and blues. Brian draws on numerous influences that include many Texas blues players such as Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Gibbons as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd and an uncommon grounding in metal/thrash guitar and Hendrix. Vocal inspiration he finds in the likes of Lenny Kravitz and Kurt Cobain. Although he may be compared to numerous artists, Brian has developed his own style. His creative and original lyrics reflect the ups and downs of every day life.

Brian’s passion for music fuels the vision that is Brian Bayer, an artist and a visionary. His music has been described as “clever', 'amazing' and 'filled with character.' Brian has been described as an incredible guitarist. His quality of musicianship is second to none. Brian’s playing style has been characterized as focused, versatile, driven and full of passion, which comes from his dedication to excellence and personal desire to connect with people through music.
