Bogus Pomp is a band of musicians who are dedicated to performing the music of Frank Zappa. Led by guitarist Jerry Outlaw, this 10 peice band performs Zappa`s more difficult compositions with precision and style. We are very honored to feature Napoleon Murphy Brock as our vocalist. Bogus Pomp offers something you just can`t get anymore. Zappa`s music performed live and performed correctly!!

Bogus Pomp has the instrumentation and ability to perform even the most challenging Zappa compositions. The band consists of Jerry Outlaw - lead guitar vocals and bandleader, Alex Pasut - bass guitar, Rick Olson - keyboards vocals, Napoleon Murphy Brock - lead vocals,sax,flute, Ross Jobson - keyboards, David Coash - vibes,marimba, and percussion, David Pate - tenor and baritone sax,flute, David Manson - trombone, Rich Willey - trumpet, Dan Campbell - electric fiddle, John Citrone - drums,vocals. Bogus Pomp is a project dedicated to keeping alive the most incredible electric music on earth. We perform music from 1966 to 1988. Bogus Pomp is a unique project and it`s lifespan is temporary, so please check us out while we are still going. If you love Zappa`s music, then this band will make you very happy.

Bogus Pomp prefers to play the more serious compositions than the campy rock tunes, although we do purvey our share of buffoonery at times, and make no mistake about it, Bogus Pomp rocks!! Our song list includes such monsterous slabs as Inca Roads,Echidna`s arf,don`t you ever wash that thing?,the Black Page #2,Dupree`s Paradise, Andy, Zomby Woof, and king Kong. We play some funny ones too, like cosmic debris, Illinois enema bandit, Titties and beer, and dangerous kitchen. The bottom line at a Bogus Pomp show is....the crowd gets blown away by superior musicianship and they always have some great laughs with the band. Bogus Pomp has fun playing this music, and believe me, it rubs off on the crowd. Nothing but smiles and the occasional awestruck jaw hitting the floor at a Bogus Pomp show. Bogus Pomp insists that interested people should bring any and all types of audio and video recording devices to our performances. We love to spread it around!!
