The Philadelphia based rock band Boat House Row was formally known as Guilty Pleasure. They began playing together as a band in March of 2000. Chuck and Doug, founded Guilty Pleasure, and had been writing music together for years before Ed joined them on bass. Dave and Pat were the last two original members to join Guilty Pleasure.

The members of BHR are Doug Lennox on lead vocals, Pat Larkin on keyboards and Guitar, Jim Gatter on lead guitar, Dave Markowski on drums, and Ed Markowski on bass. Together the write good old-fashioned rock and roll with a modern touch. When it comes to song writing they each have many and varied influences. From Mozart to Metallica they all listen to a little bit of everything. Which is reflected greatly in the music they write. They always strive to be as eclectic as possible in their song writing. Guilty Pleasure partied their way in August of 2000 due to the decision of Chuck to spend his free time with his family. In February of 2001 they reunited with out The Ice Man and began looking for his replacement. They quickly found it in Jim Gatter. He has the talent and experience to take BHR to the next step in their musical evolution. He brings with him also a new found life and love of music into the band. With each of them being long time veterans of the local music scene in Philly it was no accident that they click musically as band. Each one brings something different to their eclectic sound.
