Fusing the passionate intensity of Celtic themes, a heavy rock and roll mindset and stunning improvisations makes Bluehorses' music uniquely,er... unique! It's Celtic Rock, but not as we know it, Jim...'From the time they burst in on us, all bluster, black and bondage, it should have been obvious to anyone with an ounce of wit that there was far more to Blue Horses than instant image... Liz Prendergast's vocal is a haunting thing, lending credence to the doom laden lyric. In fact the use of her voice varies considerably from cooing lullaby, to big, belt-'em-out rocker via gothic chiller' fRoots Mag (UK) Bluehorses diverse repetoire and keen eye on pleasing a crowd appeals to fans spanning a wide range of ages and musical tastes from Led Zeppelin and the classic rock bands of the sixties and seventies, via the latest Goth rockers Nightwish and the psychedelic swirliness of bands like Hawkwind and the Ozric Tentacles.Bored with the humourless up-it's-arse drivel that's pretty much killed off rock music over the last 20 years?Bluehorses' good-time rock and roll attitude has always been to the fore and now, with the long awaited resurgence of real rock music, they're cutting loose - their new material and arrangements pull no punches and hey! they've even got proper long hair!

(details below)RECORDINGS AND REVIEWS:'...an ability to produce breathtaking arrangements and allow their instrumental skills to dazzle...' Rock 'n' Reel (UK)Their 4 critically acclaimed CD albums and CD EP have sold over 20,000 copies in the UK and around the world.Bluehorses' albums have all been independently recorded, produced and released 'in-house', as part of the master-plan to remain autonomous from the dreaded creativity-sucking record industry of recent years. While this may have resulted in the band being less rich and famous as they might have been if they'd given in to the temptation to take up an offer... hell, they still got their integrity, and the media and fans alike have agreed that Bluehorses have put down some pretty special tracks. [reviews]July 05 saw the filming of a live concert DVD at their second headline show at the Saul Festival. Our great pal, BBC Director David Wheeler (Top Gear, SAS Jungle, Bad Lads Army, Bluehorses 1998 Live Video etc etc) put together a team of top TV cameramen and with fantastic support from Clive and Keith, the Festival directors, a host of Horseheadz volunteers and a great crowd, all went to plan. We've seen some rough edits of a few tracks thanks to our terrific editor Rupert Lloyd and are allowing ourselves to be suitably impressed! Even pretty knocked out... it all looks and sounds great and we're really looking forward to seeing the final cut in a few weeks time. Provisional release: Late Summer/Early autumn '05.
