We are a quintet made up of female vocals, piano, bass, drums and saxophone. We have a nice, smooth jazz sound, but with a darker edge than most of the stuff you hear in the same genre. If you like Jamie Cullum, we could be the next step towards proper jazz.

We formed in 2002, after meeting at the University of Sheffield, where several of us were reading music. Each member of the band brings something different to the sound - Alice, our singer, is as smooth as they come, Rich Keates, our double bassist, is funk through and through, Nick, out pianist and arranger, is bleeding edge contemporary jazz, and Chris, our sax player, says the main influence on his playing is porn flick soundtracks.

We recorded an album last year, called 'The Morning After'. You can download some of the tracks (either complete or as 30 second snippets) from it from the website, and you can also buy it there.
