Bad Marley was formed between great friends Andrew Spears and TJ Freeman in August 2000. First using small Stratocasters, a classic acoustic, and a set of pawned drums, they recorded little demos and EP's in their garage for them and their friend's listening pleasure. They worked toward a comical edge with their songs, but still being musical. They work towards upgrading all the time, and eventually plan to go into the studio around Summer 2003.
Consisting of Andrew doing lead vocals, guitar, and occasionally the drums, and TJ backing him up with backing vocals, some guitar, and drums, they create comical lyrics and some smooth funky acoustic-edged tunes and hardcore punk.
Andrew Spears worked with a synthesizer and technical equipment to create an instrumental-edged album, 'Fake And Manufactured', released in early January 2003. They eventually created a compilation of projects into their sophomore release, 'Oh God, Please, Make It Stop'. (They don't really like to talk about their first release.) They hope to pull out their new album as soon as they can work to afford the full setup.
Plucking away at their Stratocasters and garage drum setup, they create an iclectic mix of acoustic and punk rock. Stay tuned to see what could happen next.
