A BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW THE BAND ARRIVED AT THE CURRENT LINE UP in the beginning, a chance meeting when andy auditioned to play drums for up and coming rock band Doctor Organ & the Climax Band, was to lay the foundation for the rock solid rythm section of today's Brutal Goose. Doctor Organ, after several line up changes over a short period of time proved to be a difficult gig.and when the band split , the two founder members,andy and dan carried on experimenting with drum and bass till eventually forming little known indie band Drop Down. this was a three piece indie outfit with pat on guitars/vocals. the band were giging within 8 weeks of forming, covering indie classics and self penned material. however, the thirst for a much heavier vibe soon crept into their indie sound much to the annoyance of singer pat and the band was history.... cast into the abyss once more, andy and dan briefly reformed Doctor Organ with the original line up, but by this time the drum and bass section had taken on a funk/metal/hip-hop groove too heavy for guitarist doktor organ to handle and again the band split.

GUITARS as if in answer to their prayers, an old mate of andy shields, tim ryan, started jamming with our two rythm junkies and a new sound was born. tim's ability from the start to churn out crushing riffs, was unprecedented, and from this moment Brutal Goose were a force to be reckoned with. GUITARS#2 VOOF! joining Brutal Goose on rythm guitars is the one and only sheepdug. he has played in a wide range of other bands encompassing many musical styles but he has recently seen the light and realised that rawk is the only way to go. playing along side tim goose, they will turn out new tunes of uncompromising heaviness for the fans to savour! VOCALS A brief stint on vocals by big stu was filled permanently when ex- choice spirit vocalist ian was drafted in to complete the line up by tim. it has been said the brutal goose sound is a unique fusion of many styles and this reflects the varied musical influences of the band members.
