Available Jones is an original band that started in the suburbs of Philadelphia as Shady Groove. Three of the original Shady Groove members, along with their newly found drummer, moved to Boulder to pursue their musical careers. This is where they hooked up with their harmonica player and formed the psychedelic, funk, rock, blues band known as Available Jones

Pete, Brent and Aron founded Shady Groove in 1991, reformed the band w/Marc Rudesyle in 1993, moved to Boulder Co. in 1994, became Available Jones for three years, restructured the band and found Ronnie Shellist. NOW THE BAND AVAILABLE JONES IS COMPLETE!!!!

Available Jones is made up of five individuals: General info. (Drums, Vocal) Mark Rudesyle, age ‘25’: Grew up in Ardsley, Pennsylvania. At age thirteen , after sampling the cello and trumpet, found a true interest in playing drums. Since then Mark has played in many bands; Fugawaree, Haven, Spoon, Shady Groove, and currently Available Jones. Marks' early musical influences were: Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Joel, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Police, The Cure among others. Current musical influences are: Radiohead, Lenny Kravitz, Miles Davis, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Old Aerosmith and more. (Lead Guitar, Vocal) Peter Eichert, age ‘29’: Grew up in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. At age Fourteen Pete found his passion and true calling in the Guitar and began taking lessons. Not long after Pete found his natural talent for writing songs. He jammed with the band Shady Groove, and is Currently creating and playing with Available Jones. Pete’s musical influences are: Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Santana, The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Grateful dead, Pink Floyd, and more. (Harmonica,Spoken word/vocal) Ronnie Shellist, age ‘28’: Grew up in Chicago, Illinois. In Ronnies teens he found a deep interest in music. Over the past four years Ronnie has played with: The Hugh Fadal Band, Joshua Bass Blues Band, Little Joe and the Tom Cats, Sammy Mayfield, Dave Meyers, Big Jack Johnson, Rusty Weir, Available Jones and many others. His greatest inspirations include such players as: the late great William Clarke, James Cotton, James Brown, Sunny Boy Williamson the 2nd, and Miles Davis. His style of playing is heavily influenced by Chicago Blues, and West Coast Swing. {Lead Vocal/Rhythm Guitar/ Percussion) Brent Meyer, age ‘29’: Grew up in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. He Sung in elementary school chorus and all the way through Jr. High. He also tried many instruments as a child but never really chose one until about eighteen. He took vocal training in college, and then found himself singing and playing percussion in the band Shady Groove. In 1995 Brent began playing guitar and writing songs with the band Available Jones. His musical influences are: Neil Young, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Santana, Traffic, John Denver, Doobie Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and many more. (Bass) Aron Kennedy, age ‘29’: Grew up in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. He played the cello through elementary school and well into Jr. High. Aron always found an interest in sounds and tones studying acoustic engineering through college and eventually owning his own studio. He Picked up the Bass at age Sixteen and started playing with ShadyGroove, and now currently with Available Jones. His musical influences are: Victor Wooten, Steely Dan, Stanley Clarke, Grateful Dead, and more.
