Apartment Three delivers an energetic blend of jazzy funk, rock, and pop with soaring vocals and clever melodies. The Ithaca Times (NY) says, “The Band’s tight arrangements and intense instrumentation push the music, with two excellent vocalists who nail the lyrics to the melody.” Apartment Three was formed by vocalist/guitarists Dan Macmillan, drummer Francis Castagnetti Jr, and vocalist/guitarist Nik Chisholm in the mid 90’s in the suburbs of Boston, MA. With the guidance of grammy nominated producer Tom Waltz, Apartment Three has released two full lenth CD’s on their own label High Rise Records, and is currently touring college campuses and clubs on the East coast and Mid-West.
The bands’ first CD “Many Miles To Go”, released in 1996, was met with favorable reviews and impressive CD sales. The band set out on the club circuit in the New England area promoting the CD and attracting a loyal fan base. In Early 1998 bassist Bill Egan joined the band followed by electric guitarist Jeff Bellucci in early 1999 rounding out the quintet’s eclectic sound. Their follow up release “Smiles From The Ashtray”, released in late 1999, is an impressive 15 song CD which has been called “musically uplifting and inventive”.
The year 2000 finds Apartment Three busier than ever. With the departure of Jeff Bellucci in the spring of 2000, Apartment Three decided to complete their sound by adding a full time keyboard player. After intense and exhausting rehersals, Cleveland,OH transplant Geoff Neri joins the band adding another dimension to their already tight sound.
With their non-stop touring schedule and growing fan base, Apartment Three is establishing themselves in new markets constantly and building on a solid foundation
