Anthems of a New December was formed in the later part of 2003 after a former band the members were in came to a halt. Deciding it was time for a restart and a revamp they started writing new material under their new name. After going through a few line-up changes the band finally settled on what is now it's complete form and started making the music they felt they really have wanted to make for a long time.

Calling Akron, OH their home they started playing the local clubs and making a few trips up to Cleveland for some out of town shows. Being eternally restless they've started to talk of doing a tour for next summer and are in the early stages of planning for that.
