Amy Blue has been performing in the Atlanta area with various bands, beginning in 1987 with local band Amanda Jones - an all girl rock show. In 1991, when that band dissolved, Amy Blue took on three other musicians and performed with Courting the Muse. Following Courting the Muse, Amy Blue began working a solo acoustic act and performed at coffee shops, open mics, weddings, and any other occasion including studio work as a vocalist. Now she's working on all originals, writing and performing with local all girl cover band Girls Night Out.Her crisp yet chunky guitar playing throws one back to the days of early Rolling Stones and Led Zepplin. Amy likes to play any stringed instrument she can get her hands on that doesn't require a bow and uses that talent to bring fresh sounds to her original recordings.Amy is a vocalist first with the dexterity to sing blues and then turn around and growl like a true rocker. With this versatility, she is able to sing any style and harmonize-blending with any lead vocalist.
Sass with class, aggressive vocals and guitar riffs, syncopated melodies, and solid lyrics, Amy Blue's originals bring something quite new to the table.
Every hungry, Amy Blue is hitting the market quietly and looking for her place in the sun.
